WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE DO

We, as representatives of our respective classes, make up Stoughton High School Student Council. Together, we are the voice between the student body at Stoughton High School, and the Administration. We hold two monthly meetings (typically the first and third Monday evenings) in A307.

We consist of 15 elected members per grade. These members are elected in April of each year by their class. The Student Council has the power to appoint two members per grade that did not get elected, and the Principal has the authority to appoint two "At-Large" members for the council in the same manner.

Some of the activities that we are involved in are: developing the all school calendar, running ALL school wide elections, coordinating Spirit week, community service projects, overseeing the Winter Semi-Formal, hosting a Senior Citizens Banquet, participating in a "Lock-in" for our Council members to make a more unified council, and attending regional and statewide conferences and conventions. Other activities are included as the needs arise.
