Our primary goals are to provide children with
a foundation for lifelong learning and to challenge each child to reach
his or her maximum potential
In concert with these goals are the recommendations
set forth in the Massachusetts Common Core of Learning. If children are
to succeed in the 21st century and meet the challenge of the future:
- They will need to communicate effectively with
others through reading, speaking, computing, the arts, and technology;
- They will need to respect and understand people
of different backgrounds in our diverse society;
- They will need to understand environmental and
other issues with world-wide implications;
- They will need to make informed decisions for
themselves, their families, their communities, and our country;
- They will need to contribute to our society; and
- They will need to take responsibility for their
own behavior.
