Stoughton POPS

Parents of Performing Students, Inc., or POPS, was founded in 1982 by a group of concerned parents and friends to help support the various music programs – both vocal and instrumental – of the Stoughton public school system. POPS takes an active part in the planning and running of competitions, concerts, fund-raisers, trips and more. We also provide recognition for students through publicity and a year-end awards banquet for high school students.

POPS sponsors many fund-raisers throughout the year. Some are general fund-raisers, which allow to, provided (at all grade levels) some of the "extras" which school budgets don't pay for. Other fund-raisers provide an opportunity for the high school students to earn money to pay for out of state music trips. Every dollar raised by POPS is used directly or indirectly to support music in Stoughton schools.
