Ever think people arenít listening? Maybe a podcast could help! In Mr. Clough's G hour class for days 1-3-5, students get a chance to speak their mind. Students are working on of course, podcasts, which is an audio file recorded and transferred onto a computer. They're sometimes even used on radio shows. After recording, the students get a chance to edit them and add special effects. "It gives us chance to express topics to everyone," Emily Leahy from grade eight explains. Topics recorded include interviews of students and teachers, latest issues in music and fashion, and sports reviews. The students can download the podcast onto their iPods and listen to it at anytime. Although the class is still working on their first podcast, theyíre always brainstorming new ideas. "Itís hard work to get a good interesting topic, it takes time," Kayla Floro of grade eight says. Got an idea? Tell a fellow classmate in Mr.Clough's 1-3-5 G hour about what you want to hear!
