Congratulations to Stoughton High sophomore Kirsten McKay for being named the HockomockSports.com girls basketball underclassman of the year! Hockomock Sports published its annual girls basketball season awards and named McKay the top freshman or sophomore player in the entire league.
McKay, a captain on the SHS girls basketball team this past season, was also included on the Hockomock Sports girls basketball second team, which includes players from all grades. McKay, a guard, was the third leading scorer in the entire league, averaging more than 18 points per game.
