Stoughton Fine Arts

More than 45 students in grades 8-12 will be performing in Stoughton High School’s spring production of Pippin! They have been working tirelessly for over 6 weeks rehearsing! Performances will take place in the SHS Auditorium: Friday, April 26 at 7pm; Saturday, April 27 at 7pm; and Sunday, April 28 at 4pm. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors and can be purchased in advance online: https://stoughtonhsdrama.ludus.com/index.php

It was great to see all of the many talented Stoughton student musicians perform at the recent Solo & Ensemble Night concert in the Black Box Theater at SHS!

We had many students audition for the Jr. SEMSBA Festival! Congratulations to all the students who auditioned as they put in many practice hours for their audition. SEMSBA is open to all School Districts in Southeastern Massachusetts. The following students auditioned and won their places at the Festival to be held May 3-4th 2024 in Braintree Massachusetts. We had many students go to SEMSBA auditions this year and we are proud of all the hard work they did.

Tuesday Jazz going to UMASS Amherst Jazz Festival Saturday April 6, 2024 Tuesday Jazz will be attending the UMASS Jazz Festival. They will have a full day of clinics and performances. They will perform at 12:15 PM in the Tillis Hall. There will be booths and other artists at the festival. The winning high school will open for the "Mingus Dynasty" Band who will perform at 8:00 PM in the Tillis Hall.

SHS 2nd Annual Solo and Ensemble Night SHS is holding their Second Annual Solo & Ensemble Night on Thursday April 11, 2024 beginning at 7:00 PM in the SHS Black Box Theater. Students are welcome to play a solo or get together with their friends and play and sing together. We will have performance by the Jazz Voices. Students should sign up on their Google Classroom Come and join us for a great time and plenty of wonderful music by our SHS students.

Join Us March 28, 2024 at the O'Donnell Middle School for the Winter Percussion Family and Friends at 7:00 PM. The Winter Percussion will be performing Saturday March 30 at 5:45 PM at Salem High School

Stoughton High students have had their artwork on display at the Stoughton Public Library throughout the month of January! This collection of artwork was created by some of the amazingly creative art students at SHS in the advanced art courses and some are members of National Art Honor Society (NAHS). These young artists are exploring new materials and methods in art, experimenting with color mixing, learning design principles, and applying techniques while addressing complex artistic concepts.

The Jazz Voices and Stoughcatos will be Caroling around Town again this year on December 21, 2023 They begin their day at the Dawe Elementary School at 8:45 AM Jones School/Central Office at 9:30 AM Stoughton Public Library at 10:30 AM Stoughton Senior Center at 12:15 PM O'Donnell Middle School at 1:00 & 1:25 PM They end the day at the Stoughton Town Hall-Great Hall at 2:15. The Carolers will be accompanied by Choral Directors Mr. Chris Weigel and Ms. Sarah Mawn. If you are near one of the venues please stop by.
