Congratulations to the winners of the Stoughton Talent Showcase! This entertaining night showed off the amazing talents of our own Stoughton Public Schools students with more than 20 acts split between three divisions - elementary school, middle school, and high school. The judges did not have an easy task deciding on the winners! Here are the winners in the elementary school division: 1st place - Gianna Graffeo (Wilkins/dancing); 2nd place - Anna Pritchard (Wilkins/dancing); 3rd place - Alaila Singleton (Hansen/dancing).

Due to the forecasted winter storm, the Stoughton Public Schools will be CLOSED Tuesday, February 13, 2024. All schools and the district office will be closed and all after school activities on Tuesday are cancelled. This decision is based on the local National Weather Service noting that the storm is an all day event. Stay safe in the storm!

Happy New Year to our Stoughton Public Schools community! There is no school on Monday, January 1, 2024. Students return from winter vacation on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Kindergarteners in Room 129 at the Hansen School read Scissors and Needle, a story about a clever witch who gets creative with a pair of scissors and a magical needle and thread, using cut-out shapes to create everything she needs for a comfortable life. Inspired by the book, students made a class quilt, the patchwork design made up of individual panels each student created.

Now that we are in December and the official start of winter is right around the corner, here is a reminder of our school cancellation and delayed opening plan for when there is inclement weather: https://www.stoughtonschools.org/page/cancellation-delayed-opening-plan

Hansen School students made cards for veterans, decorating the front of the card and writing a message inside expressing gratitude for their service. These cards were given to the Stoughton Redevelopment Authority to display for the Veterans Day parade on November 11. The Redevelopment Authority office is located across from the Town Hall, which is on the parade route. First grade students are pictured here with some of the cards that were made.

5th grade students at the Hansen School are pictured here after completing a challenge to make the longest paper chain they could using just one sheet of construction paper (along with scissors and tape).

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Baeta visited the Hansen Elementary School, greeting students as they arrived. Here he is with Mrs. Raeke's first grade class at the start of the day.

First day of school smiles at the Hansen!

Great to see so many of our newest Hawks at the Hansen School's Kindergarten Meet & Greet event!

Take a look at some pictures from the Hansen School's 5th Grade Celebration! Each student delivered a short speech, sharing their favorite elementary school memories and reflecting on their time at the Hansen. They did a great job!
