What is Stoughton Academy and How Did it Come into Being?

Established by the Stoughton School Committee, under the recommendation of former Superintendent of Schools Anthony L. Sarno, Jr., Stoughton Academy seeks to offer the academic resources of the Stoughton School System to all residents of Stoughton and surrounding communities who desire to complete a course of study and receive a high school diploma.

Who is Eligible to Attend?

Anyone who is not enrolled in high school at the present time but wishes to complete his/her high school education. Students will meet with the Director of Stoughton Academy and review their educational status. The Director will determine appropriate placement and make suggestions as to which courses the student needs to take in order to earn a high school diploma.

Why Should I Enroll?

The best reason to continue your education is to give yourself the maximum advantage when it comes to looking for a job. In today’s very competitive market, the person with the skills gets the job. The more skills you have, the better off you are. Education pays for itself in the long run.

How Much Will It Cost?

The tuition for Stoughton Academy is $250 per course. Since there are two semesters per year, it is possible to complete eight courses per year. See the Stoughton Academy Handbook for more information. All classes will be held in-person this year.

How Do I Apply?

Simple! Complete the application form as thoroughly as you can and return it to Stoughton Academy as soon as possible. If the school you most recently attended was Stoughton High School, your records are on file. If you attended any other high school, arrange to have a transcript of your grades and MCAS scores scanned and emailed, or they can be mailed to the address below.
