SHS Principal Search Update

The Stoughton Public Schools has officially started the search for the next Principal of Stoughton High School. Ms. Juliette Miller, who has been SHS Principal since 2012, has been appointed Superintendent-elect and will become Superintendent of Schools on July 1, 2026, following the retirement of current Superintendent Dr. Joseph Baeta. As a result, our district is seeking the next transformative and dynamic educational leader for SHS to succeed Ms. Miller. 

The job posting for SHS Principal was published on November 20, 2025. This search process and the timeline detailed below have been established in an effort to hire the next SHS Principal in plenty of time for a transition to be as smooth as possible. 


SHS Principal Search Timeline:

  • The deadline for submitting applications is January 5, 2026. 

  • An initial screening of applicants will take place the week of January 5, once the application deadline has passed. 

  • A screening/interview committee will meet to select candidates for interviews the week of January 12. 

  • The screening/interview committee will conduct interviews the week of January 20. 

  • Finalists for the position will be announced the week of January 26. 

  • Finalist site visits to SHS will take place the week of February 2 where finalists will meet and greet a variety of students, staff, and key stakeholders.

  • The district will announce who has been selected as the next SHS Principal by February 13. 


Ms. Miller will continue to serve as SHS Principal for the remainder of this school year, with the new Principal starting July 1, 2026. 


The screening/interview committee will represent all stakeholders including faculty and staff, members of the Stoughton Teachers Association, students, family members, and one School Committee member.
